Hi, I’m Reena!
I’m a current third-year Industrial Design student with a minor concentration in Digital Marketing. While I attend Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, VA, I’m actually a Pennsylvania native.
The entire field of Industrial Design is incredibly interesting to me, but I have a passion for consumer electronics, packaging and branding, and user-centric research. Essentially, I strive to create meaningful, functional, and beautiful products and experiences that bring joy to users.
Outside of studio, I enjoy swimming, photography, the gym, Italian food, and long drives in the mountains.
I’ve always been a creative.
I’ve been drawing and making things as long as I can remember. During my childhood, I often passed afternoons staring out the window, watching the people, animals and plants and drawing what I saw. My inclination for observation has become a significant aspect of my design approach.
As a child, I was always asking "why?"—I wasn’t satisfied unless I understood why and how something worked. This innate sense of wonder propels me to explore new ideas, challenge conventions, and seek innovative solutions to problems.
I want to design with people, not just for them.
I believe that effective design goes beyond creating products; it involves understanding and empathizing with the people who will ultimately use them. This holistic approach involves viewing our end users not just as consumers but as human beings with unique perspectives and experiences.
In the end, good design is all about making people's lives better. It's not just about making something that works; it's about creating experiences that leave a lasting impact.
